Drinks RAVING ABOUT RANGPUR GIN Tanqueray launches its Rangpur Gin in Asia with Singapore the first to enjoy its zesty flavours Tanqueray recently launched the Tanqueray Rangpur Gin in Asia, a distilled gin with a zesty citrus twist. It is now available across selected bars and restaurants in Singapore, its first Asian city. Tanqueray Rangpur Gin takes its name from the Rangpur lime, a unique fruit of the native Indian Rangpur tree that blends the zestiness of lime and the juiciness of a Mandarin orange. Distilling the Rangpur lime with other botanicals – including bay leaf, ginger and of course juniper – gives Tanqueray Rangpur Gin a subtle, yet memorably Asian twist that makes it ideal for a classic martini, a highball, or an invigorating shot on the rocks. Since its global launch in 2006, Rangpur has won gold, double gold and platinum awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Tanqueray Rangpur Gin achieves the perfect balance of Rangpur lime and other botanicals. On the nose, it is highlighted with lots of zest, fresh citrus peel and just-cut botanicals. On the palate, it is smooth offering a pleasantly balanced gin flavour that’s instantly recognisable as Tanqueray. The finish is smooth, crisp and lemony with the peppery heat from the juniper.
