The Casablanca Mini Stripe was inspired out of a need for an edging on a stars quilt that Jinny was planning
made from leftover border stripes she had in her stash. She wanted to achieve the illusion of a diamond,
but the problem was that she could only accomplish this effect by using the seam allowance in a
border stripe, and that would be not be an efficient use of the border stripe. So Jinny sat down to design
something narrow, functional, and most of all efficient, the Casablanca mini stripe took form. Instead of
using more than 10 yards of border fabric, the mini stripe brought it down to just 2 yards. The mini stripe
works wonderfully with its companion large border, the Casablanca border, style 2795. It’s also extremely
versatile. It’s perfect for edging in all sorts of projects, from quilts to accessories. It can also be fussy cut
and used inside blocks like log cabins, Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses, and in EPP La Passacaglia
kaleidoscope quilts. The possibilities are endless. Jinny chose five basic color combinations that not
only can coordinate with her existing large borders, but also with a variety of focals in the marketplace.
