Do you have a beauty<br />

routine? The foundation of<br />

my beauty routine is quality<br />

sleep and drinking plenty of<br />

water. I’m an early riser and<br />

also a rower (getting up early at<br />

the weekends between 5-6am),<br />

so, in order to get the amount<br />

of sleep I need, I go to bed at<br />

9pm for at least three nights<br />

a week. Drinking plenty of<br />

water is essential for my skin.<br />

I hydrate as soon as I wake<br />

and drink 2-3 litres of water<br />

every day. I always drink water<br />

before I eat because caring for<br />

your digestion is important<br />

for good skin health.<br />

5-a-day<br />

Apparently, the 5-a-day<br />

health rule doesn’t just apply<br />

to fruit and veg. Research<br />

done by the psychology<br />

department at the University<br />

of California, showed that<br />

participants who performed<br />

5 acts of kindness a day, once<br />

a week, for 6 weeks became<br />

significantly happier. This in<br />

style icon is Marilyn Monroe<br />

because of her feminine style<br />

and softness. Her ability<br />

to present herself in a way<br />

that expressed who she was,<br />

was very natural and I love<br />

that. This is my favourite<br />

quote of hers: “Imperfection<br />

is beauty, madness is<br />

genius and it’s better to<br />

be absolutely ridiculous<br />

than absolutely boring.”<br />

Katie Peck is a New<br />

Zealand trained British<br />

Registered Dietitian and<br />

Health Coach and Founder<br />

of Peck Nutrition. Katie<br />

has a bachelor’s degree in<br />

Human Nutrition and two<br />

post graduate diplomas.<br />
