Dear Reader,
One of the most famous statements the Greek philosopher Heraclitus is
reputed to have made was that “everything flows”. This brilliantly simple
thought was his attempt to encapsulate the never-ending process of
creation and change. As specialists in drive and automation technology,
we naturally understand this “concept of motion” very well. But we also
feel the need to modify it somewhat: because we can influence this
process of change and give direction to our own development. And in
that spirit we have been very active in the last few months and have – to
the benefit of our partners and customers – set certain things in motion.
Perhaps the most noteworthy item in this context is the largest internal
training program me our company’s history, which we look upon as “setting
the course for the future” (p. 4). Added to that are our new global
logistics concept (p. 24) and our new European sales structure (p. 30). All
three measures serve the purpose of company-wide synchronisation and
optimisation of internal and external processes, something that will give
Lenze customers the benefit of even more planning certainty.
Some especially efficient products, such as the new 8400 motec motor
inverter (p. 10 – 11) or the new MF L-force three-phase AC (p. 12 – 13), have
also given new impetus to our product portfolio.
The cover feature (p. 6 – 9) and the extensive “on the job” reports, which
come to you from the energy supply sector, the automotive industry,
logistics, the pharmaceutical industry, and a thermal insulation manufacturer,
discuss how Lenze products have proven themselves in practice
and how successfully the teamwork between Lenze and its partners has
