there will be many people heading that way together so it is difficult to<br />
get lost. It is a journey that can take up to four hours.<br />
When starting off the weather will usually be cool as it is morning, but<br />
for the last two hours the heat can really pick up. Make sure one has a<br />
plentiful supply of water (even though there are drinking fountains on<br />
the way, sometimes there are queues) <strong>and</strong> also it is worth taking<br />
snacks, e.g. fruit or chocolate for energy.<br />
Even more so than before, it is advisable to travel with a group of<br />
people, as in `Arafah <strong>and</strong> also, for the most part, in Muzdalifah there is<br />
no reception available for mobile phones.<br />
IN `ARAFAH<br />
After sunrise set off for `Arafah. En route, recite Talbiyah, <strong>and</strong> engage<br />
in other forms of `Ib\dah. To leave for `Arafah prior to sunrise is<br />
against the Sunnah.<br />
at-Tirmidh|<br />
Wuq[f (staying) in `Arafah commences from midday of the 9th Dhul<br />
*ijjah. It is a Far} component to spend at least a little portion of this<br />
time in `Arafah. If this is not done then *ajj is nullified irredeemably.<br />
To remain in `Arafah until sunset is W\jib although one can stay until<br />
dawn of the following morning.<br />
It is Far} to be within the boundary of `Arafah. Upon arrival one will<br />
notice a sign showing where the border starts <strong>and</strong> ends. One will be<br />
able to notice that Masjid an-Nimrah (the Masjid in `Arafah) is not<br />
completely in `Arafah. One must note that staying outside the<br />
boundary will not be acceptable for *ajj.<br />
Wuq[f in `Arafah is acceptable anywhere within the boundary so it is<br />
