<strong>An</strong> <strong>Invitation</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Peace</strong><br />

and Jews, who takes on the whole of Arabia, and who re-enters his<br />

home<strong>to</strong>wn vic<strong>to</strong>rious over those who had made him and his followers<br />

suffer for so many years, but enters with humility and peace, the<br />

essence of the very call he had given them all those years ago, – could a<br />

human being undergo so much and have not changed?<br />

<strong>An</strong>d yet pick up the Book that he was receiving throughout all this time<br />

and look at the consistency of its message, the balance always of its<br />

arguments and its teachings and laws, the fairness of its statements, and<br />

the voice of reason that calls out throughout its many pages and verses<br />

and chapters. Is it possible that a man could have been responsible for<br />

that?<br />

“Sense of justice is one of the most wonderful ideals of Islam,<br />

because as I read in the Qur'an I find those dynamic principles of life,<br />

not mystic but practical ethics for the daily conduct of life suited <strong>to</strong> the<br />

whole world.”<br />

Prophecies<br />

Everybody is able <strong>to</strong> predict the future sometimes, some even get it<br />

right a lot of the time, but only one who has complete knowledge – or<br />

is getting his information from one who has complete knowledge – can<br />

get it right every time. <strong>An</strong>d that, of course, is either God or a messenger<br />

of God. One of the greatest signs of the apostleship of Muhammad is<br />

the abundance of prophecies that he made, many of which came <strong>to</strong><br />

pass in his own lifetime. The Qur’an is not a book of prophecies but a<br />

book of guidance, which is the primary purpose of all Divine<br />

revelation. However, being from the All-Knowing whose knowledge is<br />

perfect, we find many statements in the Qur’an which were made<br />
