TESTY OLD times in Memorial
Ave our front page article
reveals today.
It’s a neighbours at war situation,
and one which should
never have got as far as it has.
It defies logic that a 76-yearold
should end up in court over
a bitter dispute involving a
shared driveway.
There’s nothing new about
rows over shared driveways
but this one has got way out of
hand.
The police are fairly patient
people, particularly when it
comes to the elderly, so for them
to take it to court underpins
how serious this one is.
And probably making matters
worse is the other party in the
equation – the neighbour who
had his vehicles damaged – has
in the last few days rubbed salt
into a festering wound.
He’s put up a Guilty sign after
the court hearing which faces
the elderly woman’s property.
Not a smart move.
On another note, we have
extensive coverage of the Lions
visit. Go the Crusaders.
