250 volunteers planted 500 trees of 10 different species at 15 sites in 5 hours
that provides financial support to cover tuition, training costs and
support services for individuals participating in the Southwest Louisiana
Workforce Resource Guide program.
To help promote the establishment and growth of small
businesses in Southwest Louisiana, Sasol partnered with
local business development organizations to develop a
Small Business Resource Guide, which provides step-by-step guidance
on how to start a new business and information about how to work
with Louisiana industry. Sasol also funds monthly certification
workshops and other small business development trainings for
area businesses and entrepreneurs.
Sasol’s environmental programs focus on restoring,
preserving and enhancing local ecosystems. One of
Sasol’s ongoing programs, 1,000 Trees in 1,000 Days,
aims to plant 1,000 trees in Calcasieu Parish, with a focus on the
city of Westlake, by spring 2019.
