Happy Birthday!
Brutoco Engineering & Construction is celebrating its 45th birthday this year. Over the
past 45 years, we have seen a small, family business develop into a substantial employeeowned
company that continues to diversify and grow in the Southern California market.
It is interesting to look back on how Brutoco has adjusted to the market over the years.
From our start building small roadway and channel projects in the 1960s, we moved to multimillion
projects in the ‘70s and became a premier bridge-builder in Southern California.
Over the years, we became involved in more complex projects and diversified into airport
work, infrastructure for developers and homebuilders, seismic retrofit and reconstruction
work. In the 2000s, we diversified into utility plant work including water and wastewater
treatment and building projects.
while we have maintained our core competencies in structures, roadway and utilities work,
we have sought to adapt these capabilities to the current construction market. The most recent example of this is our successful
entry into the solar market and large design-build projects. These markets present huge opportunities for profitable work in the next
ten years.
we know that the construction market will continue to transform over Brutoco’s next 45 years in business. Our challenge will be to
continue to find new ways of getting business – and getting business done.

this $ 1+ million contract was negotiated with Abener teyma Mojave in July 2012. the project
consisted of constructing concrete foundations for cooling towers, and was completed
september 1, 2012.
JoB 430 ENvIRoNMENTAL SUPPoRT foR HARPER LAkE SoLAR
this project was negotiated with Abener teyma Mojave in september 2012. the project
consists of environmental compliance support over the next two years.
JoB 431 SITE ACCESS AND PYLoN SPooLS. HARPER LAkE SoLAR
Perform concrete and electrical work for site access. supply and assemble pylon spools.
JoB 432 STEAM GENERAToR EvAP foUNDATIoNS. HARPER LAkE SoLAR
construct concrete foundations for steam evaporators.
