The stories of Ruston Way
Learn the history of Ruston Way at this
month’s Tacoma History Walk. A tour
guide will delve into “Tacoma City, Our
First Port” at the 11 a.m. walk Saturday.
Meet 10 minutes before scheduled start
time at the Job Carr Cabin Museum,
2350 N. 30th St., Tacoma. It is a
pay-as-you-can event and registration is
not required. Dress for the weather —
the walk will take place rain or shine.

Runners can take part in the state’s oldest 12-kilometer run during Saturday’s
Roman Meal Sound to Narrows. The event includes the famed 12-kilometer run, a
12K walk and a 5K run and walk, plus a 2-kilometer Junior Shuffle and a Diaper
Dash. There will be vendors and music in the start/finish area at Vassault Park.
