Seen . in public for the first time was the Surefly Workhorse<br />
in Le Bourget. The manufacturer of electric vehicles for delivery<br />
services from the US has developed a delivery drone<br />
for Amazon. On this basis they presented the prototype of<br />
this double-seat multicopter, which has been publicly presented.<br />
The two-seater is powered by eight Emrax e-motors<br />
from Slovenia. In their workhorse the Americans aren’t<br />
fully set on a hybrid as there are some lithium ion batteries<br />
in the four foldable rotor arms, but these are only for<br />
short <strong>flight</strong>s. The main energy source is a two-cylinder fourstroke<br />
engine in the back of the machine and with almost<br />
200 hp it powers a generator. The first <strong>flight</strong> is planned for<br />
the end of <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
