Meet the Trader
A market day in Louth is a special experience; the
bustling market is a lively meeting place for both
young and old. It is the perfect spot to pick up fresh
local produce, alongside goods for the home and
special handmade items.
Adie Harrison from The Green Craft Company can
be found on Louth market every Friday and some
Saturdays.
The Green Craft Company is a group of
craftspeople who are passionate about the
environment. Adie, from Louth, established the
company in 2009 after he had been trading solo for
two years before. The ethos of The Green Craft
Company is recycled, natural and reclaimed. Adie
works hard to ensure no item has travelled any
dedicated road miles.
Adie, a painter, specialises in upholstered wall art
and clocks; using old CDs and LPs covered with
prints from his paintings. Adie now represents
over 20 local artists on his stall including; Kettlers
Cottage from Alford; a range of soaps and natural
beauty products; a local glass artist specialising
in glassware reclaimed from windows and
greenhouses and a Louth wood turner.
The Green Craft Company is constantly growing,
so the stall never looks the same as items are
always being added and rotated. Adie explains;
“There is something therapeutic about setting up in
the morning and I love seeing people stop in their
tracks when something catches their eye.”
The Green Craft Company was a runner up in the
East Lindsey Community Awards for Community
and Business Partnership Working. When Adie isn’t
on his stall, he can either be found engrossed in
creating his products or running craft workshops.
