(Customs Act, Chap. 78:01)<br />

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon the Comptroller of Customs <strong>and</strong> Excise under the provisions of the Customs Act, Chap. 78:01,<br />

I, Fitzroy A. John, Comptroller of Customs <strong>and</strong> Excise, acting under the provisions of section 263(2) of the said Act, do hereby appoint<br />

the place specified in the Schedule hereto to be a Private Warehouse area for the storage, pending entry for home consumption or<br />

export of the following goods, as shall be warehoused by or in the Private Warehouse of Messrs: A. S. Bryden <strong>and</strong> Sons (<strong>Trinidad</strong>)<br />

AMENDMENT TO THE RULES OF RACING<br />

Rule 56—Prizes:<br />

At a meeting of the <strong>Trinidad</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Tobago</strong> Racing Authority held on Wednesday the 28th December, 2011 it was resolved<br />

that an amendment be made to the Rules of Racing:<br />

A. Deletion <strong>and</strong> Substitution:<br />

To delete the word “inclusive” <strong>and</strong> substitute in its place the word “exclusive” at Rule 56 (7)(a)(i), Rule 56 (7)(a)(ii) <strong>and</strong><br />

Rule 56(7)(b)(i); <strong>and</strong><br />

B. Addition:<br />

To add the words “or equals to” between the phase “less than” <strong>and</strong> the word “$25,000.00” at Rule 56 (7)(b)(ii)<br />

So that Rule 56(7) reads as follows:<br />

Rule 56(7) earned commissions shall be deducted by the secretary from the prize money <strong>and</strong> paid to the jockey, trainer <strong>and</strong><br />

groom in accordance with the following procedure:<br />

(a) Graded Races:<br />

(i) Jockeys—<strong>10</strong> per cent on all places—exclusive of basic riding fees;<br />

(ii) Apprentices—5 per cent on all places—exclusive of basic riding fees;<br />

(As amended on 28th December, 2011)<br />

(b) <strong>No</strong>n-graded Races:<br />

(i) In any race in which the prize money exceeds $25,000.00, Jockeys will receive <strong>10</strong>% <strong>and</strong> Apprentices 5% of their<br />

placing in said race exclusive of basic riding fees.<br />

(ii) In any race in which the prize money is less than or equals $25,000.00, Jockeys will receive <strong>10</strong>% <strong>and</strong> Apprentices<br />

5% of First Place <strong>and</strong> also the following:<br />

(As amended on 17th December, 2002 <strong>and</strong> 28th December, 2011)<br />

2nd Place 5% 21/2 % (inclusive of betting Levy Boards Subsidy)<br />
