National and Junior National Swim Team<br />
Ages 12-18<br />
This level is for swimmers who aspire to<br />
swim at a higher level and to represent our<br />
YMCA in national competitions. Head coach<br />
will determine whether swimmer will be<br />
placed in National or Junior National Group.<br />
Stroke mechanics, conditioning, goal setting,<br />
dry land training and mental conditioning<br />
are emphasized. Swimmers will commit to a<br />
practice schedule 5 to 6 times a week.<br />

Free Membership for 7th Graders<br />
All 7th graders in Chester County are eligible<br />
for free YMCA of the Brandywine Valley<br />
membership. The goal of the 7th Grade<br />
Initiative is to inspire youth to discover their<br />
passions, develop a healthy lifestyle, and gain<br />
the assets needed to avoid risky behaviors<br />
and succeed in school and life. Bring your<br />
school ID, roster or report card and a parent<br />
or guardian with you to get started!<br />

with a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer<br />
to increase their strength, speed, and agility.<br />

Ages 15 & up<br />
Upon successful completion of this course,<br />
participants are licensed to lifeguard through<br />
Jeff Ellis & Associates. Participants must attend<br />
all scheduled class days and times. There is a<br />
pre-course swimming requirement that includes<br />
swimming 200 yards of either front crawl or<br />
breaststroke, a feet-first surface dive to 12 feet<br />
to retrieve a 10-pound brick and treading water<br />
for 2 minutes with legs only. For more information,<br />
