The 100EX was designed as an
open-top, four seat, two-door
drophead with a 9-litre V16, 64 valve
engine throbbing under the bonnet.
It was produced to celebrate the
100 year anniversary of Rolls-Royce
in May 2004. A strong nautical
theme featured both inside and
outside the car, complimented by
polished aluminium on the bonnet
and windscreen surround.
Shorter than the Phantom by
165mm and 71mm lower, the
100EX has a graceful side profile
with a characteristic dynamic rise in
the waistline over the rear wheels
and lines that sweep upwards
towards the front of the motor car.
Traditional Rolls-Royce ‘waftability’
was created visually - the sense that
the 100EX has the power to whisk
its passengers swiftly to a maximum
speed in a truly relaxed manner.
The car has toured extensively around
the globe in the last two years to
outstanding acclaim. Such has been
the demand, that a version of the
car is now in production, with the
first vehicles delivered in late 2007.
