The Segari Turtle Sanctuary monitors the
beaches especially during the season when
turtles come up to lay eggs. The eggs are collected
and moved to a hatchery where they can
hatch safely away from ants, monitor lizards,
and people that collect eggs to be eaten and
sold at the market as food.
