KATY’S 1 ST ANNUAL REIGN OVER CANCER (ROC) WALK
Michelle Perzan, who lives in Grayson Lakes, was diagnosed with breast
cancer in 2014. She has been successfully fighting it, but she has had
many painful roads to battle. Her mother, father and eldest brother have
all passed away from various types of cancer, so you can see where she
would have the passion to want to give back to other cancer fighters!
Michelle and her husband, Aaron, decided to start the GEST Foundation
to raise money for grants for those battling cancer. The upcoming ROC
Walk will be their first fundraiser event ever and they are asking for the
support of their neighbors and friends to get the word out.
What? Fun, food and dance for free
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2014, Michelle
her maiden name Trakalo. The months after surgery tend to be the
most difficult for those undergoing treatment for cancer. Therefore,
Michelle’s vision is to provide a support system for those who do not
have one or who just need a little extra help.
GEST Foundation Inc., will provide grants for people for things like grocery delivery, home cleaning, home wound care,
transportation or even counselling to help with the internal wounds that come with facing the news “you have cancer.”
