BAYOU CITY ART FESTIVAL DOWNTOWN ANNOUNCES<br />
REQUESTS FOR VOLUNTEERS OCTOBER 14-15, <strong>2017</strong><br />
The Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA) is in need of volunteers for<br />
Bayou City Art Festival Downtown on Saturday and Sunday, October<br />
14-15, <strong>2017</strong>. Volunteers have the option of choosing various roles<br />
and shifts for either or both days. Shifts for Friday afternoon and<br />
evening will also be available for artist check-in and festival load-in.<br />
The festival offers volunteers the opportunity to make new friends<br />
and meet artists from around the country. After every shift, volunteers<br />
will be entered in a raffle and have the chance to win prizes,<br />
including gift cards to local restaurants, movie and museum tickets.<br />
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and be able to enjoy the festival<br />
at no cost before and after their shift. The minimum age to sign up<br />
is 13 and group volunteering is also available. Anyone interested<br />
in becoming a volunteer can sign up here.<br />
Bayou City Art Festival will be held under the iconic Houston Downtown<br />
skyline, 10 AM - 6 PM. The festival will spotlight more than 300<br />
artists from 19 different disciplines and benefit local non-profits.<br />
Online tickets are on sale now until the day of the event at www.<br />
artcolonyassociation.org. Tickets online are $12 for adults and $5<br />
for children 6-12; children five and under are free. Tickets at the<br />
gate are $15 for adults. Also available online are two-day passes<br />
for $20 and family passes (two adults, two children tickets) for<br />
$30. Discounted tickets for Veterans and Seniors will be available<br />
at the gate.<br />
