After successful edition of our three e- magazine ,we are here with the fourth edition of our monthly e-<br />

magazine .All the three magazines got many positive reviews and suggestions and for that I am very<br />

thankful to you all and I promise you that with the upcoming editions of our e- magazines you will see a lot<br />

of innovations.<br />

Throughout the process of making this e-magazine, many individuals from our organization have taken time<br />

out to help me out. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for the<br />

support and assistance you all provided to me. I would like to give a special thanks to Sh.Gyan Bhadra<br />

ABOUT JSW GROUP AND JSW ENERGY<br />

HBPCL<br />

(KWHEPS and BASPA II)<br />

The Karcham Wangtoo Hydroelectric Plant is a 1,000 megawatts (1,600,000 hp) run-of-the-river hydroelectric power<br />

station on the Sutlej River in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The dam and power station are located between<br />

the villages of Karcham and Wangtoo where the plant also gains its name.<br />

Baspa (Stage II) Hydro-Electric Power Station of 300 MW generating capacity is located in the higher reaches of<br />

Himalayas and is an environment friendly power station, devoid of any rehabilitation or resettlement.<br />

MASS TREE PLANTATION DRIVE<br />

• Tree Plantation Drive was conducted on 07/07/2017<br />

at Dumping Q, Near Karcham Wangtoo TRT outfall.<br />

• Around 100 plants of Chilgoza (50) & Deodar (50)<br />

species were planted, total 835 Nos of Trees have<br />

been planted in this Financial Year.<br />

BEAT LEVEL TRAINING & WORKSHOP FOR AANGANWADI SEVIKAS<br />

• Beat level workshops for Anganwadi Sevikas were<br />

conducted at Five (05) designated locations of DIZ.<br />

EXHIBITION OF HANDLOOM PRODUCTS AT JATRU FAIR BHABANAGAR<br />

• An Exhibition was established at Jatru Fair<br />

Bhabanagar from 24/07/2017 to 26/07/2017 & the<br />

handloom products were kept for sale.<br />

• Hon’ble Chief Minister, HP and Deputy Speaker,<br />

HP Vidhan Sabha also visited the exhibition and<br />

appreciated ourprogram of Women Empowerment<br />

initiated under CSR.<br />

FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONY OF GPS PANVI - II<br />

• The Foundation stone of Govt. Primary School<br />

Panvi- II was laid by auspicious hands of Hon’ble<br />

Deputy Speaker on 24/07/2017.<br />

• The Building is proposed to be constructed in two<br />

phases.<br />

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN DRIVE<br />

• A Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Drive was organized on<br />

• 30/07/2017 at Baltrang Bazaar in Coordination with<br />

• Gram Panchayat Sapni, Vyapar Mandal Baltrang and<br />

• Mahila Mandal Kanaii. HBPCL volunteers from<br />

• Karcham Dam, Baspa Power House and Kilba Camp<br />

• also participated in this drive.<br />

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT<br />

To create positive working atmosphere among the<br />

employees & workers of HBPCL, every month at least<br />

one sports/cultural program is organized under<br />

UMANG initiative. Accordingly, on 31.07.2017 Foo ball<br />

tournament was organized.<br />

HEALTH CHECK UP<br />

J.V.M.Sholtu undertook the routine blood group check<br />

for students from Nur to XII in the month of July. The<br />

test were carried out in Jindal Sanjeevani Hospital,<br />

Sholtu.<br />

STEP PROGRAMME<br />

Three bright students of Class XI from J.V.M. Sholtu were<br />

selected to attend a two week motivational program<br />

called STEP ( Science and Technology Educational<br />

program)- Mandi. The students were selected on the<br />

basis of 10 th result. The proposed initiative by H.P<br />

government aims to motivate students for higher studies<br />

in science and engineering . 15 days workshop was<br />

attended by 3 students of JVM Sholtu out of 22 children<br />

selected from three states. The participant shared their<br />

experience with the rest of the students.<br />

ADHYAYAN TEAM VISIT<br />

Adhyayan team visited J.V.M. Sholtu, in the month of<br />

July, to review the school. The review was conducted<br />

by Adhyayan training team and School Self Review<br />

and Evaluation team (SSRE). Such evaluation and<br />

reviews play vital roles in the development of the<br />

school.<br />

DRESS UP LIKE MYTHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS<br />

Class Nur and KG students enjoyed their Saturday activity all dressed up like Krishna , Rama, Durga and<br />

Shiva-- the mythological characters so close to our culture.<br />

GIRLS TOURNAMENT<br />

Girls tournament for under 14 and Under 19 year were held at Govt. Sen. Sec. School Urni.<br />

J.V.M Sholtu team participated in different events and brought laurels for our school.<br />

Two students of J.V.M. Sholtu , Eva and Zaina were selected for state badminton tournament.<br />

CAREER COUNSELING FOR CLASS 11 STUDENTS<br />

Career counseling is a process that will help the<br />

students to know and understand their weakness and<br />

strength to make educational and career decisions.<br />

J.V.M. Sholtu also mentors the students, through<br />

counselors. Mr. Sarbjit Singh from institute of Hotel<br />

management (IHM) Zirkpur, counseled the students<br />

regarding Hotel Management. Students have begun to<br />

explore other fields depending on their talent and<br />

interest.<br />

Class XII students also had a heart to heart talk with<br />

Apoorva Negi- Alumni of our school. Apoorva who<br />

has cleared the NEET Exam 2017 cleared many<br />

doubts and confusion of the students. Determination<br />

and motivation from ex- J.V.M. student will definitely<br />

inspire the performance of our young minds.<br />
