ΑΜΦΙΘΈΑΤΡΟ ΘΕΌΔΩΡΟΣ ΑΓΓΕΛΌΠΟΥΛΟΣ /<br />
AMPHITHEATRE THEO ANGELOPOULOS<br />
Το αμφιθέατρο αυτό οφείλει το όνομά του<br />
στο γνωστό σκηνοθέτη, σεναριογράφο<br />
και κινηματογραφικό παραγωγό Θεόδωρο<br />
Αγγελόπουλο (1935-2012), που καταγόταν<br />
από τη Μεσσηνία. Κατασκευάστηκε για<br />
να φιλοξενήσει σεμινάρια, συναυλίες και<br />
εργαστήρια, και λειτούργησε για πρώτη<br />
φορά το 2006. Βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της<br />
πόλης, στον κεντρικό εμπορικό δρόμο,<br />
κοντά στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο και λίγα μόλις<br />
λεπτά με τα πόδια από το Μέγαρο Χορού<br />
Καλαμάτας και τον Ιερό Ναό Παμμεγίστων<br />
Ταξιαρχών. Έχει χωρητικότητα 250<br />
θέσεων και καλή ακουστική, και αποτελεί<br />
κατάλληλο χώρο διεξαγωγής για τις<br />
διαγωνιστικές παραστάσεις και τις<br />
παραστάσεις αξιολόγησης.<br />

Καλαμάτα<br />
Named after the well-known film director,<br />
scriptwriter and film producer Theo Angelopoulos<br />
(1935-2012), who was originally<br />
from Messinia (the wider area, of which<br />
<strong>Kalamata</strong> is the capital), this amphitheatre,<br />
built to host seminars, concerts and<br />
workshops, opened in 2006. It is centrally<br />
located, close to the Municipal Theatre, on<br />
the main shopping street, and just a few<br />
minutes’ walk from the <strong>Kalamata</strong> Dance<br />
Megaron and the Holy Taxiarches Church.<br />
With its 250 seats and good acoustic, it is a<br />
suitable place for the competition and evaluation<br />
performances.<br />
