Motivation & Satisfaction<br />

Results on the FY2016 Employee Climate Survey, which is a survey<br />

done annually by the County, reveal that 89% of employees are<br />

motivated and satisfied to work for Mecklenburg County. The<br />

top three drivers for the results include: supervisors treating<br />

employees fairly, supervisors providing flexibility to balance<br />

work and personal life, and supervisors treating employees with<br />

respect.<br />

When reviewing for disparity in the FY2016 Employee Motivation<br />

& Satisfaction results, persons under 25 and persons 55 and older<br />

had statistically significant higher results than persons ranging in<br />

age from 25 to 54. There was no statistically significant disparity<br />

seen with gender and race/ethnicity.<br />
