Remembrance Sunday<br />

Our annual gathering to remember the sacrifice<br />

of the British <strong>and</strong> Free French aircrews that<br />

served at Elvington during World War Two,<br />

together will those that have served to deliver<br />

the freedom we enjoy today. Remembrance<br />

services at both Elvington village <strong>and</strong> a service<br />

in the Museum chapel where all are welcome<br />

Open auditions for all ages are being held for a<br />

musical production of ‘Alice in Wonderl<strong>and</strong>’ on<br />

Sunday 12th <strong>and</strong> Sunday 26th November for a<br />

June 2018 production at the Joseph Rowntree<br />

Theatre in York. We’re looking for all characters<br />

including Alice, the White Rabbit <strong>and</strong> Cheshire<br />

Cat. Whether you’ve got experience or just want<br />

to have a go, we’re really friendly <strong>and</strong> would love<br />

you to audition for us (it’s pretty informal too!)<br />

Christmas Opening<br />

A huge Christmas tree from the estate’s<br />

forestl<strong>and</strong> will dominate the Great Hall.<br />

the extraordinary Long Gallery will have a<br />

contemporary Christmas mood to complement<br />

Festive Craft Fair<br />

Our annual festive crafts market is now in<br />

its third year <strong>and</strong> is a firm favourite for both<br />
