BLESSING OF THE PETS
Cornerstone UMC will be holding its “Blessing of the Pets” on Sunday,
October 1 st at 3:30 PM. People are invited to bring their pets (fish, snakes,
cats, dogs, hamsters, etc.) to receive a special blessing. We will gather in
front of the worship center building and following a brief liturgy, Dr. Dave
Meadows will bless each animal and their owner. If for some reason you
are unable to bring your pet (the pet isn’t people or animal friendly, is
easily frightened or not well), then simply bring a photo. Dogs should be
on leashes. Cats and other pets should be in appropriate carriers. Please
make sure your dog or cat has on a collar with a current ID.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
St. Cuthbert Church invites all pets and their people to a Blessing of the
Animals on Sunday, October 1 st at 4 PM, in celebration of the Feast of
St. Francis of Assisi. This is a joyful and fun event that honors the great
bond and relationship between pets and their owners. Animals must be
suitably restrained on a leash or in a cage. If you have questions or want

COMMUNITY OF HOPE
On Thursday, October 19 th , at 7 PM, St. Cuthbert Church’s Community
of Hope will present a speaker from Sheltering Arms. Sheltering Arms
Senior Services provides a comprehensive array of services to seniors
and their family caregivers. The presenter will provide an overview of
Sheltering Arms’ Caregiver Support services. This information is useful
for those in their senior years, as well as those caring for elderly family
members and friends. All are welcome.

YOUTH PROGRAM DEEP FRY’D at the FOF for youth The Family of Faith
Lutheran Church, 16710 FM 529, is sponsoring a monthly movie night
where we have some dinner, watch a movie and then discuss the movie
and how it relates to our lives and God. Friends are always welcome. Cost
is $3 to help cover dinner.
