Hideaway has teamed up with family-run
falconry experts Go Active to launch amazing
woodland hawk walks through Sherwood
Forest. Guests on the forest adventure will fly
Harris Hawks through the pine and birch trees
of Sherwood Forest, and learn how to call the
birds of prey back so they perch on your arm. All
equipment, including your glove and hawking
vest, is provided. Cost: £15 per person. Walks
last for around one hour. All ages can take part.
Please note that woodland hawk walks are
weather dependent and may be cancelled in
event of heavy rain and strong winds. No refunds
are available, however dates can be changed as a

Halloween Steaming Spooktacular!

This year the museum’s regular last Sunday of
the month steaming event coincides with the
All Hallows’ Eve weekend and allows families
to enjoy the seasonally-dressed museum and
exhibits after dark. Family friendly activities
include a ‘Ghosts and Ghouls’ dress up competition
for children, face painting and Halloween-themed
colouring competitions, museum trails, and
word searches. Families are encouraged to bring
their own spooky torches to explore the museum
exhibits, however, the star attraction of the
evening will be the steaming of the magnificent
