SJIIM Official Open Day<br />
St. Joseph’s Institution International School<br />
Malaysia (<strong>Tropicana</strong> PJ Campus) (“SJIIM”),<br />
a Lasallian educational institution and<br />
brother school of St. Joseph’s Institution<br />
International Singapore celebrated its first<br />
year of school on May 15, <strong>2017</strong>, with an<br />
official opening ceremony at the school’s<br />
auditorium in Petaling Jaya.<br />
Held in conjunction with the Founder’s<br />
Day celebration at the school, the<br />
auspicious event was graced by the Minister<br />
of Education, Dato’ Seri Mahdzir Khalid.<br />
<strong>The</strong> event was also attended by <strong>Tropicana</strong><br />
Corporation Bhd founder & advisor,<br />
Tan Sri Dato’ Danny Tan Chee Sing, and<br />
Brother Visitor of the Lasallian East Asia<br />
District, Br. Edmundo Fernandez.<br />
It was a truly significant occasion for the<br />
school’s Board of Governors comprising<br />
of senior representatives from <strong>Tropicana</strong><br />
Corporation Bhd, the Lasallian Asia<br />
Partnership for International Schools<br />
(LAPIS), and Lasallian East Asia District<br />
(LEAD) as well as for staff, students, parents<br />
and the Lasallian Family of Malaysia.<br />
<strong>The</strong> joyous occasion kicked off with<br />
various activities including a wonderful<br />
rendition of the Malaysian national anthem<br />
by the SJIIM High School Orchestra followed<br />
