<strong>Marinette</strong><br />

he City of <strong>Marinette</strong> is the largest community in <strong>Marinette</strong> <strong>Co</strong>unty and sits on the shores<br />

of Lake Michigan’s Green Bay. It is separated from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula by the<br />

Menominee River. As a harbor town, <strong>Marinette</strong> offers excellent fishing on both the waters<br />

of Green Bay and the Menominee River.<br />

<strong>Marinette</strong> is full of great places to relax and enjoy<br />

the outdoors. Stephenson Island is located on the<br />

Menominee River and is the location for many of<br />

<strong>Marinette</strong>’s festivals. The island has a playground,<br />

stage area, and a boat launch. The <strong>Marinette</strong><br />

<strong>Co</strong>unty Historical Logging Museum is located on<br />

the island, as well as several historical statues and<br />

works of art. The <strong>Marinette</strong> City Park offers<br />

camping and a pavilion for day-use rental with<br />

charcoal grills, horseshoe pits, and a playground.<br />

Adjacent to City Park is The <strong>Marinette</strong> Civic<br />

Center. This multi-purpose recreation facility<br />

houses variety of indoor and outdoor activities<br />

throughout the year. Inside you’ll find tennis courts,<br />

basketball courts, and an indoor ice arena. Outside,<br />

the Civic Center has a playground, softball fields<br />

and a swimming pool. Red Arrow Park is a favorite<br />

beach for locals with a sandy beach on Green Bay,<br />

a boat launch, two pavilions and walking trails. Also<br />

the Seagull Bar State Natural Area is a popular<br />

place for bird watching.<br />
