TOWN HALL SERIES I:
DARE TO DREAM TOGETHER

As the opening months of school are past us, our students and teachers are settling into
the routines of school life and active learning. October is usually a time when we begin
to reflect on the goals we have established for our students, for ourselves as professional
educators, and to review the impact these goals are having on schoolwide progress as we
plan for the future.
The reflection process is a time of vulnerability when we dare to ask ourselves:
What is going well and what should we be doing better?
What honors our school, our students and our program?
What needs to change so we continue in the tradition of excellence?
How are we defining good and what will great look like?
However, it is also a time to aspire towards growth and development. It is this cycle of
reflection and growth in which we invite CAG stakeholders to participate by sharing what
makes CAG great and what are our dreams for an even better CAG in the future.
Please join me next week, on Tuesday, October 24th, 7:00 pm in the Wilson Gym or Live
Stream on the CAG Facebook Page for our first ever CAG Town Hall meeting to help shape our
school´s strategic plan into our school´s vision for excellence in academics and student
life.

What is a “Town Hall
Meeting”?
A Town Hall Meeting is an organization-wide
meeting in which Patti Marshall, CAG General
Director, will begin by reporting of the
current “State of Affairs” of our school in
relation to specific areas and then parents,
students, faculty members, alumni or
community members can ask questions.
At its essence, a town hall meeting is exactly
what it sounds like...members of a
community coming together to discuss an
issue or issues of common concern. It is a
chance for our school community to discuss
the direction the school is moving and any
emerging issue of concern. In either case,
the primary purpose of these town hall
meetings is to provide information to the
community and collect feedback.

Be a part of the actual audience by
attending the event on Tuesday, October
24 starting at 7:00 pm in the Wilson
Gym!
Follow the Live Streaming of the event on
our Facebook Page and share with your
friends!
How Will the Event
Work?
Questions and answers will be moderated
between the live audience and the Facebook
audience so that participants can ask
questions and even interact with Patti
Marshall about their answers. The moderator
helps manage the flow of the event and as
the question and answer session proceeds
until closing remarks and a summary
statement are again made.

KOREAN FESTIVAL IN EARLY
CHILDHOOD A HUGE SUCCESS
SHOUT OUT
The morning started off with a dynamic
and educational assembly musical
performance given by CAG's Middle
School students. It also featured a special
Taekwondo performance. After the
assembly, students participated in
different art and craft activities that
showcased Korean culture and traditions.
The morning ended with a delicious
variety of tasty Korean food for all.
We are so grateful to our Korean parents
who worked so hard to make this special
event happen.

Querida Comunidad Escolar,
Nos gustaría contar con la mayor participación posible, es por ello que invitamos a todas
las personas interesadas en vender su comida tradicional o en participar en el área de
bazares a que llenen el formulario que se encuentra a continuación, y enviarlo al correo
apm@cag.edu.gt a más tardar el jueves 26 de octubre.
La Reunión de Proveedores para firma de contratos será el jueves, 9 de noviembre de
7:30am a 11:30am en las instalaciones del CAG.
El miércoles 6 de diciembre se llevará a cabo nuestra NOCHE DE LUCES CONSTRUYENDO
SUEÑOS. En esta noche, deseamos reunirnos para compartir las diferentes tradiciones de
fin de año practicadas en los distintos países, religiones y culturas que integran nuestra
comunidad. Deseamos apreciar sus tradiciones folklóricas y/o religiosas y además saborear
sus tradiciones culinarias. Habrá también un bazar de productos propios de esta época.
Celebremos esta época que nos hace pensar en amor, paz y buenos deseos. Les invitamos
desde ya a reservar esta fecha para juntos despedir el año 2017.
