WILLOWFORK FIRE DEPARTMENT
SPECIAL DOG ADOPTION DAY
Willowfork Fire Department (Fort Bend County
Emergency Services District #2) will be partnering
with Fort Bend County Animal Services
to hold a special Dog Adoption Day, giving
members of the community an opportunity
to provide good homes to some very special
fur babies. This event will take place Saturday,
November 4, 2017, from 10 AM-2 PM, at our
Station 2 location, 26950 Cinco Ranch Blvd,
77494. All that is needed to adopt is a Driver License
and $50 (cash only). All pets are spayed/
neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines
and heartworm tested. If adoption is not
an option but you would like to help the cause
of getting animals placed in good homes,
feel free to drop by with donations: dog food,
cat food (any brand, broken bags accepted),
rawhides, bones, treats, flea/tick prevention
treatments, blankets, towels and toys. We
look forward to seeing each one of these fur
babies adopted out to new families. Please
spread the word to your friends and families.

GARDEN CLUB
On Thursday, November 9, 2017 Nottingham
Country Garden Club (NCGC) will feature Mary
Khazen Karish. Mary will be speaking on the
topic of Citrus Trees. Mary is a Master Gardener
with Harris County. She grew up Lebanon and
began gardening with her grandmother at
age 7. She conducts workshops at Katy Adult
Evening Education Programs and is also a contributing
writer for Texas Gardener Magazine.
Meet and greet time begins at 9:30 AM and the
program will start at 10 AM, followed by the
NCGC meeting. Please join us at the Municipal
Utility Building #81 at 805 Hidden Canyon

We welcome all people interested in gardening
and gardening-related areas from West Houston
and the Katy area. You do not have to live
in Nottingham Country to belong to our group!
NCGC is a non-profit organization affiliated
with the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs,
the Texas Garden Clubs and the National
Federation of Garden Clubs. The purpose of
the club is to promote beautification in the
community, support local and national educational
and charitable organizations and
educate the community about our environment.
Donations from the NCGC are funded
by our annual Spring Sale and projects that
vary each year.
