BRANCHES & CHAPELS UPDATE KICC BASILDON FRESHER’S FAIR Campus Outreach at the Fresher’s Fair at University of Essex, Southend Campus Fresher’s Fair on Wednesday 4th October. KICC Basildon had a stall at the Fresher’s Fair. This was a great opportunity to manifest the vision of the house and reach out to the community to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to students. Students engaged well with the team. One KICC Basildon member said: “It was a fun and enjoyable experience to interact with students from different backgrounds who both Christian and non-believers.” HEALTH AWARENESS OUTREACH Health awareness outreach at Basildon Town centre on Saturday 23rd September 2017. It was an opportunity to proclaim the Gospel and offer free and confidential checks for blood pressure, eye health, blood sugar, BMI and healthy living advice. The event was open to all individuals living within the Basildon community. Many members of the public had health checks completed and were able to hear the word. TRAINING AND COACHING SESSION Training and Coaching (TAC) session at Wat Tyler Center in Basildon, Essex on Saturday 16th September 2017. The session was an opportunity to train KICC Basildon stewards. It provides an opportunity to discuss and review past and future goals while challenging stewards to be committed and walk in the vision of the house. The theme was ‘Excellence’. Stewards were encouraged to reflect excellence as they serve God and encouraged to identify how we can improve in different departments of the church to ensure that we are walking in excellence. Stewards engaged in activities including goal setting for departments, reflecting, presentation and other activities. 4
