"My Mom inspires me; she taught me that<br />

everything in this universe is attainable through<br />

sheer hard work, and no pain, no gain.<br />

Bongani Meriam Sithole, affectionately<br />

known as DJ Soul Crusher on stage<br />

and radio by her fans was born on the<br />

06th of December 1987. She hails from<br />

Dinga Village in Malamulele, spent most of<br />

her childhood at Stinkwater (Pretoria) and<br />

now residing at Mankweng. DJ Soul Crusher<br />

is currently presenting "Gongomela" 22h00 -<br />

00h00 Monday - Thursday and "Xiseveseve"<br />

22h00 - 00h00 on Friday at Munghana<br />

Lonene FM.<br />

She is vibrant, funky, entertaining and has a<br />

very charming voice. While she was at<br />

Titirheleni Primary School, she used to participate<br />

in puppet and talent shows and continued<br />

at Mbhanyele High School where she<br />

attained 3 trophies for English Impromptu<br />

and prepared speech. Apart from the<br />

already mentioned achievements, she was<br />

also awarded one trophy for Xitsonga<br />

Impromptu speech, one for talent & puppet<br />

show motivational speaking and thirteen<br />

certificates ranging from excellent academic<br />

performance, poetry, speech, debate, public<br />

speaking & acting. She also led the English<br />

club and she was also motivating fellow<br />

learners during morning devotions. She<br />

matriculated in 2004 and always obtained<br />

position one/two in class. In 2005 she<br />

enrolled for a BA degree in Communications<br />

studies and Acting; and graduated in 2007.<br />

Her radio career kick-started in early 2005 at<br />

Radio Turf while she was attending orientation<br />

classes as an English news reader & a<br />

presenter until early 2010 where she attained<br />

two trophies and two certificates for<br />

being the best entertainment show presenter<br />

in 2007, she then joined Pro-Ads SA as a<br />

Game Store Radio Announcer for two years,<br />

then went to Jacaranda for seven month as<br />

a freelancer news reporter. In February<br />

2011 she joined a newly formed community<br />

radio station in Tzaneen, GT FM as a<br />

presenter & a news reader where she read<br />

news in English & presented a late night<br />

show called "Make the Circle BIGGER". In<br />

June of the same year she was promoted to<br />

the Programmes Manager position because<br />

of her hard work at the station. Hence she<br />

believes that everything in this universe is<br />

attainable through sheer hard work.<br />

She has been an MC on various events such<br />

as Letaba Expo, Giyani Show & various road<br />

shows, corporate events, she also adjudicated<br />

the British parliamentary debate in<br />

Howard College at the University of Kwazulu<br />

Natal. "My Mom inspires me; she taught me<br />

that everything in this universe is attainable<br />

through sheer hard work, and no pain, no<br />

gain. I am very passionate about radio and I<br />

believe failure is the egg we break to make<br />

an omelet of the future & I’m a hard worker.”<br />
