know naught of the future,<br />

path is unclear.<br />
My<br />
on it He stands--<br />
Yet<br />
Rock, ever near.<br />

whine and complain,<br />

with my lot;<br />
Displeased<br />
'fore Him stand 'shamed,<br />
Then<br />
'twas the world I'd sought.<br />
For<br />
shouts all the while:<br />
It<br />
never be free!"<br />

deep in my heart<br />

Whisper says,<br />

God, my King, I humbly pray<br />
Lord<br />
a heart as Yours to guide me each day.<br />

Your tender compassion, mercy & love,<br />

be a blessing and Light from above.<br />

ask also for a sweet & gentle spirit;<br />
I<br />
alone, my Saviour, can undoubtedly give it.<br />
You<br />
in me a servant's heart forevermore,<br />
