The Elves were always peaceful folk.<br />
Friendly to all who crossed their<br />
way. But alas, for the past two<br />
centuries, correspondence and trade<br />
between Men and Elves has fallen.<br />
Anger and hatred has taken place of<br />
friendship and camaraderie. And all<br />
because of one little king. It is to this<br />
king the woman goes, for she carries<br />
a message of great importance. But<br />
that is far from all. In her worn sack<br />
she has two items: one of simple<br />
beauty; the other, an object whose<br />
ability is only to show that beauty.<br />
One, a gift. The other, a curse.<br />
With a guttural roar, he leapt from<br />
the throne's landing to where [the<br />
mage] last stood, but he stopped<br />
short. For in her place lay a worn,<br />
leather satchel. And in it's folds, an<br />
item sparkled. Curiosity replaced his<br />
wrath and he bent to free the object.<br />
A mirror. And before his eyes, a tiny<br />
crack appeared.<br />
