we pratice what we preach
Our activities generate limited amounts of greenhouse gases,
linked mainly to energy consumption from telephone network
infrastructures, buildings and also emissions from our vehicle
fleet and business trips by our staff. We are determined,
however, to contribute to the objective of combating climate
change, which we see as a major environmental issue.
In particular, we are supporting France’s Factor 4 objectives
aiming to cut greenhouse gas emissions by four by 2050
compared to 1990 levels. As far as we are concerned, we
have set the target of reducing our greenhouse emissions
per customer by 20 % in 2020, compared to 2006 levels.
To reduce our own footprint, we rely on 3 major initiatives:
collaborative work, datacenters and buildings.
We use a complete set of collaboration and mobility solutions
and promote teleworking when pertinent.
As far as datacenters are concerned, we consolidate
infrastructures, virtualize our servers and stocks, optimize
ventilation and implement new air cooling system.
We centralize building management systems and have built
new headquarters in Poland and Belgium with high quality
environmental standard.
Our initiative and continuous efforts have led us to be the
recipient of the Frost & Sullivan 2007 and 2008 Green
Excellence Awards, respectively for “Product Innovation”
and “Service Achievement”.
