OKANO
If you’re in the market for a
Japan-made, high-quality fashion
item, OKANO is the place to visit at
GINZA SIX. Founded in 1897, OKANO
manufactures Hakata-ori textiles,
which are dyed-in silk textiles from
the Fukuoka region. While OKANO

known for its punk-infused streetwear

and JohnUNDERCOVER, also designed
by Takahashi, there is something for
every taste. If you’re looking for a
playful yet practical present this holiday
season, the brand’s apple-shaped clock
(¥15,800), made by Medicom Toy, is
undoubtedly the most stylish way to
keep track of time.

Danish brand By Malene Birger creates clothes that are modern and
effortless to wear. Beautiful fabrics and intricate handcrafted details
define each collection. The relaxed silhouettes are a good representation
of the label’s philosophy, which is to help women have the courage
to live their own lives. The Arabian Flower motif became the brand’s
signature print after the brand’s founder traveled around Morocco
and was inspired by the patterned tiles and mats. The Gretah mini tote
bag (¥27,000) featuring the flower motif comes in an array of colors
that will suit every style.
