The ON STAGE event series is ready to check off your list of must-see cities and will do so while providing all the comforts of a non-competitive choral music event and the opportunities and delights of a tourist tour around local traditions, culture and history….and, yes, also around local fun. Worldwide landmark cities like Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Prague, Amsterdam and many other first-rate destinations will be your stage and heaven for the 4-day events which will revolve around friendship concerts, touristic tours, workshops and celebration. The events are designed for all those who wish to combine their music with travelling, learning and experiencing of new destinations. SUZANA TURKU<br />
Suzana Turku is one of the first and most renowned female conductors in<br />
Albania and a member of the World Choir Council! She holds the prestigious<br />
title “Artiste e Merituar” as well as a PhD in Ethnology and Folklore. She was<br />
the conductor of the choir of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet for 17<br />
years, during which time many important world masterpieces were brought<br />
on stage with great success. Mrs. Turku also served as Albania’s vice Minister<br />
of Culture for eight years and is widely recognized for her contribution towards<br />
the development of the Albanian culture and the Integration of Albania<br />
in EU. She is currently a professor at the Academy of Arts.<br />
