INTERVIEWS
Interviews are a key aspect of our
selection procedure and should confirm
not only our choice of suitable students,
but also your choice of course. We
believe that your interview should be a
positive experience and whilst we are
thorough, our primary aim is to make you
feel at ease and encourage you to tell us
about yourself and your experiences.
If you are an art and design candidate,
you should bring a portfolio of work with
you. Your interview letter will tell you
everything that you need to bring with
you.
OPEN DAYS
The best way to find out what we have
on offer is to come and visit us. You will
be able to find out about courses and
tour the college centres. By talking to our
current students you will be able to find
out about their experiences at Kirklees
College.
days, go to: www.kirkleescollege.ac.uk/
HND PROGRESSION
Higher National Certificate qualifications
are the equivalent to the first degree
year at university. After completing your
one year course in some subject areas
you have the option to progress on to a
second year of study to achieve a Higher
National Diploma qualification.
Alternatively you could use your HNC to
move on to university. Some universities
will let you start in the second or third
year of a degree course if you have
completed an HNC or HND in a related
subject at college first.
