HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
CAPTURE THE CAG BUZZ
Interview of HS Newspaper Team
What do you see as
the main objective of
the Buzz?
The Buzz’s main objective is to keep students and
members of the CAG community updated and
informed about the accomplishments and impacts
we are making on many fronts. The Buzz aims to be a
source of school news and information that is
reliable, and relevant, that encourages and inspires
students to make a difference and be engaged in the
community.
2
Our audience is unique because they are students, just like us, reading
about what is going on in the community where they live, and study. This
affects the articles we publish because it is a newspaper made by students
for students. Our main purpose is to focus on CAG spirit and inform
students about what other students are doing in this community. For
example, we might focus on a community service club spending time at an
orphanage, a student council sponsored event, or an athlete that was
invited to compete in an international tournament.
What makes your
audience unique?
How do these
unique qualities of
your audience affect
the stories you
write, if at all?
3
What are different
ways that you are
trying to connect
with CAG students?
We try to connect with CAG students by serving as their
voice. Our writing is about the members of our community and
the special events that happen in the High School community.
We are trying to connect with CAG students by showcasing
events that are significant and inspirational to us and other
students. Through CAG Buzzing Around we have platforms
on Facebook and Instagram. We are also in the process of
developing an eMagazine similar to the one the CAG Public
Relations Office publishes.
