two goals from Danny Heard for Stone set up a pulsating finish.
Black Country Rangers ran out convincing 5-1 winners at lowly
Dudley Sports moving into fifth spot whilst Ellesmere Rangers fell to
an unexpected 3-0 defeat away at Wellington. Josh Hunt (two) and
Will Perkins on the scoresheet for the Herefordshire based side.
The new management team of Steve Barrow and Juan Dopazo
opened in style steering Wellington Amateurs to their first league win
at the eighteenth attempt In the battle of the bottom two beating
Dudley Town 2-0.
Wolverhampton Casuals followed up their 10-0 J.W. Hunt Cup win
against Willenhall with a six goal hammering of Smethwick. Another
hat trick from former Wolves player Liam Hughes setting them on their
way with Jay Holdcroft (two) and Harry Cunningham completing the
rout.
Bilston Town won 3-0 away at Bridgnorth and Cradley Town repeated
that scoreline at the Cottage Ground against Wednesfield. In the only
other Premier Division game Shifnal Town and Pegasus Juniors drew
1-1 Alex Hunt equalising for Pegasus before half time.
In the top of the table battle in Division Two a late equaliser for
Wolverhampton United made it 2-2 at Aston University the home of
runaway leaders Sikh Hunters. Cam Sandhu and Hinesh Patel both
on target for the home side.
Elsewhere in Division Two Warstone Wanderers closed the gap on
the top two with a comprehensive 5-1 away win at Ludlow. Rock
Rovers are now fourth with a 2-1 home win against AFC Bilbrook.
Basement side AFC Bridgnorth Development fell to their eleventh
defeat in twelve games 8-1 away at Wonder Vaults whilst Church
Stretton pulled away from the bottom two with a 3-0 home win against
FC Darlaston.
