Darlaston Town (1874) have been selected to receive an award of up to £10,000<br />
from the Aviva Community Fund. <strong>The</strong> amount of the award depends on how many<br />
votes are received between 24th October and 21st November for the scheme.<br />
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT<br />

<strong>The</strong> money will be spent on the three pitches that are hired out to 5 different clubs<br />
and 14 teams, 4 girls and ladies’ teams, 9 junior and youth teams and one adult<br />
team. <strong>The</strong> work will include<br />
• Mowing spiking, slitting, scarifying, de-compacting, verti draining and aerating each<br />
pitch.<br />
• Purchase and apply 250kg - 400kg grass seed and 30-50 tons of top soil as required<br />
to level each pitch.<br />
• Purchase and apply to each pitch fertilizer and herbicide, applying and working in top<br />
dressing sand, reseeding, compaction alleviation, pesticide and fungicide, treatment of<br />
pests and diseases.<br />
