NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING<br />
Pursuant to M.G.L., Ch. 40A, §5, the Rowley Planning Board will hold<br />
a public hearing on Wednesday, December 13, 20<strong>17</strong>, at 8:00 P.M., in<br />
Meeting Room #5 in the Town Hall Annex Building located at 39 Central<br />
Street, Rowley, MA, in order to consider a proposal to amend the<br />
Rowley Protective Zoning Bylaw (“the Zoning Bylaw”) to permit retail<br />
establishments that sale marijuana, marijuana products, and/or marijuana<br />
accessories, for recreational use, in the Retail (RE) Zoning District,<br />
with the Special Permit and Site Plan Review approval by the Planning<br />
Board, provided that such establishments or uses may not be located<br />
within three hundred (300) feet of a day care facility, elementary or secondary<br />
school, or church or religious assembly.<br />
The text of the proposed bylaw modifications and supplemental materials,<br />
maps and/or exhibits may be inspected at the Planning Board office<br />
at the aforementioned address during regular business hours. Any<br />
person(s) interested or wishing to be heard on the Zoning Bylaw amendment<br />
proposal should appear at the public hearing at the time and place<br />

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, the<br />
Rowley Protective Zoning Bylaw, and the Rowley Planning Board will<br />
hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 13, 20<strong>17</strong>, at 8:20 p.m. in<br />
Meeting Room #5 in the downstairs of the Town Hall Annex building located<br />
at 39 Central Street, Rowley, MA, pertaining to a Site Plan Review<br />
application involving the installation of a large-scale solar photovoltaic<br />
facility on property located at 623 Wethersfield Street, in Rowley, MA.<br />
Rowley Solar, LLC, the applicant on behalf of, Maven Irrevocable Trust,<br />
the property owner, has submitted an application pertaining to the subject<br />
property which is further identified as Assessors’ Map 11, Lot 53,<br />
which consists of approximately 15.16 acres also located in the Outlying<br />
(OD) Zoning District.<br />
Approval of a Site Plan Review applications is required for the installation<br />
of a large-scale solar photovoltaic facility in the Outlying (OD) Zoning<br />
District pursuant to Section 4.4.3(a) of the Rowley Protective Zoning<br />
Bylaw. The applications, plans, and relevant documents are on file with<br />
the Rowley Planning Board, and are available for public inspection at<br />
the Rowley Planning Board Office, Town Hall Annex, 39 Central Street,<br />

located at 39 Central Street, Rowley, MA, pertaining to a Special Permit<br />
application for outdoor external illumination of a wall-mounted sign pursuant<br />
to Section 8.6.5 (Standards Pertaining to Illuminated Signs) of the<br />
Rowley Protective Zoning Bylaw.<br />
The applicant Novo Sano Medspa, has submitted the request in association<br />
with the renovation of an existing commercial building located at<br />
225 Newburyport Turnpike, Rowley, MA, (In the Market Basket Shopping<br />
Center) which is further identified as Assessors’ Map 16, Lot 9. The<br />
site is located in the Retail (RE) Zoning District.<br />
The applications, plans/details, and relevant documents are on file with<br />
the Rowley Planning Board, and are available for public inspection at<br />
the Rowley Planning Board Office, Town Hall Annex, 39 Central Street,<br />
