Mini Messy Church
November has been a busy month at Mini Messy Church. We heard the stories of
the Widow's Mite, Noah and Jesus being like the Good Shepherd. All the children
and parents have enjoyed our varied craft activities. The children made their own
money boxes and were given two chocolate coins to put in
them. They were encouraged to give their coins away to
someone who was less fortunate than themselves, but we
suspect not many coins made it out of the room! All the
children have been taking an
active part in our worship
helping Liz to count two of
every sort of animal you can
think of into the ark! With such
amazing creative minds our
members even managed to
reproduce many of the wonderful sounds the
animals made! On our theme of Jesus the good
shepherd, excellent counting was performed
making sure all of our sheep returned safely back
into the fold. All in all, we had a BAArilliant time.
As Christmas approaches we are looking at the story of Mary receiving news from
a special angel about the birth of Jesus. We shall be holding our annual
Christmas celebration to share in a fantastic
birthday party for this very special baby. Our last
meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday
13th December starting at the later time of
10.30am, as we will be sharing our Christmas
celebration with a party lunch and a special visitor
in a red suit. All members are asked to book in for
this session the previous week as it is important
we cater for those attending and that we have the
appropriate items in the sack to distribute.
Everyone at Mini Messy Church has been invited
to join us for our Christingle and Crib Service.
Mini Messy Church begins again in the new year at our usual time of 10am on
Wednesday 10th January.
Looking forward to an exciting few weeks and a little rest for our dedicated team
of weekly helpers.
