Goodbye to valued staff & supporters From the desk of the Editor Value your value ... Bloemfontein greets Dr Lelanie ... Dr Lelanie Pretorius (Haematologist) will be joining the Nelspruit Lab. Dr Reinette Weyers will be taking her place. One of my favourite songs “Where do you go to my Lovely” by Peter Sarstedt was playing on the radio this morning and it struck a chord in my mind. In short, it tells a story of a very poor girl who ended up as adult in extremely wealthy circles and her friend is concerned ... Does she sometimes, when she’s alone, remember where she came from - growing up in the backstreets with him, begging for food .... Does she remember the burning ambition they both had to shake off their rags and to build a better life for themselves? Does she remember to care for those in desperate need as she once was ...? Let us during this festive season and for the years to come never forget those less fortunate around us and appreciate what we have. Be thankful for what you have by caring for and sharing with others and to always stay humble and kind. Understand your worth, value your life and appreciate your blessings ... Ragel Dr H de Swardt retired at the end of August 2017 at the age of 86 years young! He has been a 100% supporter of Dr Bouwer & Partners/ Ampath for 40 years. His practice was based on the Bluff. He has retired to be with his son in Port Edward and hopes to locum in the area. Marketer, Sr Theresa van Schalkwyk, presented Dr Swardt with a farewell hamper. CENTURION GREETS SARAH POO Central Support Services greeted Sarah Poo after 25 years of service. Sarah worked in the Events & Promotions Department and was responsible for the boardrooms and general duties. Sarah took great pride in her work and we wish her a wonderful retirement!
