Israel and the unexpected new world order. Brian Schrauger The Jerusalem Post The new world order is the establishment of one government and currency. With our focus on the new world order in previous sermons, there are global affairs that coincide with the signs of end times in the word of God. Christ warned us that these signs must happen but we shouldn't worry because the believers' redemption is coming. The foundation of the new world order is on the basis of an economic world order. As featured in the Jerusalem Post, author Brian Schrauger highlights that there are economic changes happening with global superpowers while, the Western world is consistently distracted by politics and global leadership. Over the past few years, there have been many changes on the global front from Russia moving into Syria to radical Islam happening throughout the world. With all these things happening Russia, China and India are now the up and coming global superpowers. This article brings attention to the fact the Jewish state, Israel is making large deals on an international level with such powers like Russia, Turkey, and China. June 16, 2009 marks the beginning of the movement towards a new world order. Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) began discussing ways to reflect changes in the world's economy. With the addition of South Africa to BRIC, these nations are working rapidly to achieve their goal of global economic dominance. BRICS has since had strong economic growth with many ventures such as establishing an international bank called New Development Bank, with the sole purpose of financing public and private infrastructure projects for its member states. Coinciding with the BRICS economic goal for global power, China has initiated the Belt and Road infrastructure initiative that would link more than 60 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe for the purpose of global trade. This project will take approximately $7.5 trillion to develop. With this lofty endeavour it’s a risk to the global banking system but will have a tremendous return on the investments made globally. However, the risk associated to these two initiatives can cause a global economy collapse which would be an opportunity for the global powers to start fresh and introduce a one world currency. With Bitcoin, an online currency it's safe to presume that it would be the currency used in the new world order. So how does BRICS and the Belt & Road initiative relate to Israel? Firstly, Israel has the ability to be the leading provider of gas and oil to Europe via a direct pipeline to Europe cutting Russia out of the market. This move affects the initiative of BRICS because it's now affecting the GDP of Russia. Secondly, the Belt & Road Initiative can be promising for Israel's international trade which, would in turn be more time & cost effective than the current shipping route via Egypt. Finally, Israel is one of the leading countries in cyber security which would play a vital role in the utilization of a one world virtual currency via Bitcoin. Regardless, Israel looks to gain from both these global ventures. With all this being said, we as children of God are not to get caught up with a false sense of security and the hope that the new world order is aiming to fulfill. The true purpose of all these economic and political changes are to fulfill God's word. God warns us that during these perilous times, people will begin to be lovers of everything except Christ and others. "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."- Matthew 24:13. We as believers know that the world around us is changing for the worst quite rapidly but we need to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ. Only with God's help and strength are we able to see His promises come to fruition after our redemption. The new world order is just the beginning of the perilous times "and when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."- Luke 21:28. 14
