Club de <strong>Golf</strong> alcanada<br />
This 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.<br />
opened in 2003. Situated in the north <strong>of</strong> the Mediterranean<br />
island <strong>of</strong> Mallorca, Alcanada is right at the seaside.<br />
The 6,499-metre long course blends in naturally with the<br />
typically Mallorcan terrain. Most <strong>of</strong> the holes have a view<br />
<strong>of</strong> the island <strong>of</strong> Alcanada with its lighthouse that inspires<br />
the club’s logo.<br />
Besides the magnificent sea view, the golfer is surrounded<br />
by pine forests and olive groves. Although a new<br />
course, Alcanada is already recognised by a large number<br />
<strong>of</strong> golf magazines and guides as one <strong>of</strong> the best in<br />
Spain and Europe. The course is immaculately tended<br />
and its‘ greens, improved in 2008, are fast, true and <strong>of</strong><br />
exceptional quality.<br />
