From sports and swimming to arts and teen 

leadership, your child will discover a summer 

of exploration, new friendships and new skills. 

You’ll find camps designed to engage your 

curious preschooler to your independent teen. 

SPARK TIME 

Fun, extended camp time for your child 

– at no extra charge! 

7-9 am and 4-6 pm 

The Y’s SPARK TIME extended camp program provides 

before and after camp care full of activities designed 

to keep campers safe, active and having fun! Included 

with your camp fee. 

SWIMMING 

Campers enjoy a recreational swim period each day 

(except some field trip days), weather permitting. Trained 

Y lifeguards conduct swim tests for all campers prior to 

swimming each Monday. 

KIDS LOVE THE 

WORLD CARNIVAL! 

Every summer, campers entering grades 3 and up, from 

all YMCA of Greater Brandywine camps, come together 

for a day of fun and friendly competition. Mark your

Our action-packed sports camps focus on developing athletic 

skills, learning basic rules and acquiring game experience 

in a non-competitive environment. Sports Camp will also

HORSE CAMP • Ages 6-15 

Location: Drop-off and pick-up at YMCA camp site, 



June 18-22 at Second Nature Farm 

June 25-29 at Second Nature Farm 

July 16-20 at Cold Spring Farm

Spend the week at the stables learning to ride and care for 

horses. Transportation is provided to Second Nature Farms 

and Cold Spring Farms in Oxford. Limited space available.

Each week, teens hang with their friends, see and experience 

new places and participate in service learning projects in our 

community. Teens will also enjoy in traditional camp games 

and hang out at the outdoor pool!

A weekly camp for younger teens who are ready for more 

than the traditional camp setting. LITs will work closely with 

peers to develop communication, teamwork, goal setting, 

organization and problem solving. Fun, traditional camp 

activities are part of each weekly schedule. 





JR. LIFEGUARD CAMP • Ages 12-15

Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard in this fun and 

challenging program that includes water safety, rescue 

and fitness.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION 

A Y membership is not required to register for camp. 

Membership is required at the time of registration to 

receive the lower weekly camp rate. No changes will be 

made if a membership has been started after the camp 

registration has been processed. 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 

The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that 

strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks 

to donations to the Y’s Annual Campaign, we can offer 

financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard 

fees. Y memberships and programs are available to all. If 

you are interested in sending your child to camp, but are 

experiencing a financial situation that makes full payment 

difficult, you are invited to apply for our financial 

assistance program. Requests are confidential. 

CHILD CARE INFORMATIONAL SERVICES 

(CCIS) FUNDING 

Families who receive CCIS funding are required to pay a $10 

per camper per week fee in addition to their weekly copay. 

DEPOSIT 

Camp deposits are due at the time of registration. 

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and are 

subtracted from your weekly rate. Member: $25 per child 

per week. Non-member: $50 per child per week. 

SIBLING DISCOUNTS 

Families with two or more children signing up for the 

same camp week receive 10% off the lowest weekly fee 

(restrictions apply). Discount can only be applied during 

onsite registration. Discount is not able to be combined 

with financial assistance and/or staff discounts. 

CAMP PAYMENT 

Payments must be made through weekly automated 

draft or in-full at time of registration. Camp payments 

are processed two Sundays prior to the camp start date. 

Camp payments are not able to be split between two or 

more payers. 

FEES FOR CANCELLATION, CHANGES, 

OR LATE REGISTRATION 

No refunds are available after the start of a camp week. 

Any camp cancellations less than one week prior to the 

camp start date will result in a $50 cancellation fee. Any 

camp registration submitted after the Wednesday before 

camp will result in an additional $50 late registration 

fee. Any camp registration change made after the initial 

registration will result in a $25 change fee. 

LATE PICK UP FEE 

The camp day ends at 6 pm. If you are going to be 

late picking up your child, please arrange to have an 

authorized pick-up person arrive by 6 pm or call the Y 

to inform staff. A late fee of $5 for pick-up one to five 

minutes past program end time, and $1 per minute 

thereafter will be charged.
