Head to Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom for a choice of
experiences including Keeper for the Day, Carnivore
Combo, Badger Watch and the very popular Meerkat
Experience where you can see these eccentric creatures
up close and personal!
Hand-feeding and helping with the meerkats
enrichment is followed by strokes with two very tame
meerkats ready for a cuddle. A knowledgeable guide
is with you throughout to answer questions and share
insights into these amusing animals.
At £99 for an hour for two people, it’s a special
experience never to be forgotten.
Telford Town Park is a real oasis in the town centre.
Cafe culture, children’s play area, a cycle centre, aerial rope
course, fishing, a sensory garden, nature and history trails
plus the fairytale world of Wonderland are just a few of
the reasons the park is worthy of a visit. Voted Britain’s
Best Park 2015, it has an active events programme, an
amphitheatre, bandstand and visitor information centre.
For panoramic views and an Iron Age hill fort, put your
walking boots on and head to the summit of The Wrekin.
Rising to a height of 407 metres and formed from various
rocks of volcanic origin, the popular walk is steep in places
and does give the illusion you’ve reached the top a couple
of times before actually summiting! Once there though,
you will be rewarded with stunning views over Shropshire
so it’s well worth the effort!
