CLASSIFICATION OF <strong>EMPLOYEE</strong>S<br />

Your wages, benefits and job duties are affected, in part, by your classification and your job title. The<br />

following are a few of the classifications that are used through this Handbook.<br />

Full time Exempt Employee: All team who are hired to work a predetermined schedule of at least<br />

40 hours per week. An employee who is paid a fixed salary on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis<br />

rather than an hourly wage and meets the criteria for exclusion from the wage and hour laws (e.g.<br />

managerial, administrative, professional). An exempt employee does not receive overtime for hours<br />

worked over 40 hours per week.<br />

Part Time Non-Exempt Employee: An employee who is hired to work a predetermined schedule of<br />

less than 30 hours per week. An employee who is included in the minimum wage, overtime, and time<br />

provisions of the wage hour laws. Such employees are eligible for overtime at the rate of one and<br />

one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in the work week or<br />

more than 8 hours in a one calendar day.<br />

Flextime Exempt Employee: A bi-vocational employee who hired to work a predetermined role<br />

at Living Waters. An employee who is paid a fixed salary on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis<br />

rather than an hourly wage and meets the criteria for exclusion from the wage and hour laws (e.g.<br />

managerial, administrative, professional). An exempt employee does not receive overtime for hours<br />

worked over 40 hours per week.<br />

Temporary Non-Exempt Employee: An employee who is hired to perform a predetermined project,<br />

task or role with a hourly rate of pay. (see Part time Non-Exempt)<br />
