Bemetra Simmons<br />
Senior Private Banker, Wells Fargo the Private Bank<br />
MODERATOR<br />
Bemetra Simmons currently serves as Senior Private Banker at Wells Fargo the Private<br />
Bank. Ms. Simmons’ role is to serve high net worth clients preserve and transition wealth,<br />
provide customized credit solutions, and help define and analyze long term goals. Ms.<br />
Simmons began her career as an Account Manager with WorldCom, served as a Global<br />
Account Manager for AT&T Global Services and worked in financial services for over 14<br />
years.<br />
Ms. Simmons is the daughter of an Air Force Chaplain and has lived in ten states and two<br />
countries. She attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN on a basketball<br />
scholarship and received a B.S. in Business Administration, and her MBA from Wake Forest<br />
University.<br />
Ms. Simmons serves on the board of trustees for Christian Brothers University,<br />
Community Tampa Bay, and the City of Tampa’s Police Review Board. She was recently<br />
selected by Tampa’s Mayor to serve as a commissioner on the board of the Tampa Housing<br />
Authority. Ms. Simmons is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., USF<br />
Women in Leadership and Philanthropy, a 2013 Leadership Tampa graduate, named Up and<br />
Comer by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2013, and a finalist for Businesswoman of the<br />
Year <strong>2017</strong> by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.<br />
Erin Aebel<br />
Partner, Healthcare Practice Co-Administrator, Shumaker, Loop,<br />
& Kendrick, LLP<br />
Erin Smith Aebel is board certified as a health law specialist by the Florida Bar. She<br />
represents physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers in business law including<br />
fraud and abuse, Stark, HIPAA and licensure. Erin also advises on a variety of Florida health<br />
law issues including the developing medical marijuana law.<br />
Erin’s clients include hospitals, physicians, physician group practices, diagnostic imaging<br />
centers, pharmacies, clinical laboratories and other providers.<br />
In 2014, the Tampa Bay Business Journal named Erin Business Woman of the Year in the<br />
category of legal services. In 2016, the international company, Lexology, awarded Erin the<br />
Client Choice Award in London, England for health law in Florida. The Client Choice Award<br />
is for excellent client service.<br />
