of the school, faith is the heart.
Catholic values are integrated
into the school day so our students
aren’t just learning their
faith; they’re living it. In addition
to religion classes, students
participate in Mass together every
week. They prepare for the
sacraments and look forward to
religious celebrations including
the annual Christmas program
and May Crowning.
St. Norbert graduates are well
rounded individuals. The school
provides opportunities outside
the classroom that help our students
grow as much as they do
inside the classroom.
Six competitive athletic teams
ensure our students learn the importance
of teamwork and the
value of good sportsmanship.
Our academic teams consistently
shine in Quiz Bowl, math and
STEM competitions. Ongoing
service projects, like our support
of local food pantries, help our
students to appreciate what they
have and share their gifts and talents
with others.

Sacred Heart School students thrive under right guidance
The school mission states:
“Sacred Heart School is a faithbased
community of faculty, parents
and staff dedicated to educating
the hearts and minds of
children from preschool through
eighth grade.” Visitors immediately
recognize key elements of
the school’s mission in action.
From the youngest preschooler
to the most mature eighth-grader,
Sacred Heart Vikings display
a strong sense of community,
personal confidence, and a deep
commitment to service in order
to build a better world for tomorrow.
This year, Sacred Heart
School started a program called
Prayer Families. Eleven Prayer
Families, each led by an eighthgrader
and made up of students
from every grade, meet on a
monthly basis. The eighth-graders
prepare a lesson and activity
to share with their group, with a
focus this year on the eight Beatitudes.
Prayer Families allow
students the opportunity to share
faith across grade levels while
giving the eighth-grade Confirmation
candidates a chance to
lead and teach younger students.
A new Parent and Tot class
was also introduced this year,
organized and led by Laura Wettersten,
Early Childhood Coordinator
and kindergarten teacher.
This free class is offered to parents
in the community and their
children (ages 3 months through
3 years old). Classes are held on
the first and third Wednesdays
of each month, from 9:15-10:15
a.m. The Parent and Tot class is
a wonderful opportunity for parents
of young children to connect
with other parents while
