City Art Festival Memorial Park. Cash Prizes
are awarded for “Best in Show,” second and
third, as selected by on-site judges. Ribbons
are awarded for “Best Booth” and all winners
receive jury exempt status for two years as
well as priority booth placement.

NATURE PROGRAMS FOR
PRESCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN
SATURDAYS IN NATURE
This program is held on the fourth Saturday
of each month at the Edith L. Moore
Nature Sanctuary, held between 1 and 4
PM. A guided nature walk will begin at 2
PM. No reservations required. Donations
are encouraged. This is a “whole family”
program; parents or other adult guardians
should participate with their children. Park in
the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church
parking lot at 12955 Memorial Drive, enter
the nature sanctuary through the marked
gate and proceed on the path to the log
cabin. Upcoming programs include January:
Migration - Craft: Flying Duck. February: We
Love Wildlife - Craft: Animal Valentines.
The Titmouse Club
The Titmouse Club is a nature program for
children ages 2 ½ to 5 sponsored by the
Houston Audubon Docent Guild. The program
is offered every Tuesday and Wednesday
morning, 10 to 11 AM, from mid-September
until mid-May at the Edith L. Moore Nature
Sanctuary, 440 Wilchester Boulevard. Each
week features a different nature theme and
may include nature talks, stories, hands-on
activities and walks in the woods. For more
